Yes, Central Asia is Muslim-friendly, as Islam is the dominant religion in countries like Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Turkmenistan. Most Muslims in the region follow Sunni Islam, and Islamic traditions are deeply rooted in daily life.
Halal food is widely available, and mosques are present in cities and towns. Friday prayers and Ramadan are observed across the region.
However, due to Soviet influence, many areas retain a secular outlook, and Islamic practices can vary in strictness. Modest clothing is appreciated but not strictly required. Overall, Central Asia offers a welcoming environment for Muslim travelers, blending tradition with cultural diversity.
