Itinerary Outline

Day 1: Ala Archa National Park & Bishkek City

We will kickstart the tour at Ala Archa National Park, where we will take a cable car ride for panoramic views of alpine forests, and the surrounding Tian Shan mountain range. We will also take a short walk on a paved road along the Ala Archa glacial river.

Returning to Bishkek, we will tour the city including the Historical Museum, the Opera and Ballet Theater, and the Art Museum of Gapar Aitiev.

Day 2: Burana Tower, Archaeological Museum & Chon Kemin Valley

Starting the day at Burana Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this ancient minaret, dating back to the 11th century, offers a glimpse into the rich Silk Road history of Kyrgyzstan.

Within the compound, we will explore the garden of Balbal Stones and an Archaeological Museum displaying artefacts from Buddhism, Christianity, Shamanism and Islam.

Will make a stop to try traditional layered bread Kattama with natural cream and milk tea, a specialty of Chon Kemin.

Day 3: Issyk Kul, Grigorievka Gorge & Kyrchyn Valley

Enjoy the afternoon driving along the Northern shores of Issyk Kul, the World’s second-largest alpine lake where you will have pit stops for photo taking.

We will pass through Grigorievka Gorge, known for its peaks covered with coniferous forests and Kyrchyn Valley, known for being the main venue of the famous World Nomad Games.

Day 4: Karakol City, Ski Base & Hot Springs

Rich in history, we will spend time to visit the city's landmarks like the Dungan Mosque, built without nails, and the picturesque wooden Holy Trinity Cathedral. We will try a traditional cold noodles soup called Ashlan Fu originated from the Dungan community (Chinese Muslims).

In the afternoon, at Karakol Ski Base, take a ski lift up to the mountain where regional extreme sport lovers come together in winter for skiing.

Option to rewind in natural hot spring park nearby – bathing suit required!

Day 5: Jety Oguz, Arabel Plateau & Statue of Yuri Gagarin

Jety Oguz, or the "Seven Bulls," is a stunning valley famous for its dramatic red sandstone cliffs, resembling seven bulls and a "Broken Heart" formation. This iconic natural wonder is steeped in local legends, adding a mystical allure.

Arabel Plateau can be reached via a high-altitude mountain pass where we can witness a glacier lake at the top.

Optional to take a short 1-hour trekking route to a waterfall near the Statue of Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space.

Day 6: Fairy Tale Canyon, Eagle Hunting Show & Orto Tokoy Reservoir

Fairytale Canyon, or Skazka Canyon, is a mesmerising destination known for its vivid red, orange, and yellow hues rock formations. Easy to explore, the canyon offers a short walk with breathtaking views of Issyk-Kul Lake in the distance.

Reaching Bokonbaevo, a village where you will be treated with a spectacular art of eagle hunting show by skilled hunters.

Drop by the Orto Tokoy Reservoir, which is the first reservoir built in Kyrgyzstan. Surrounded by rugged, golden-brown mountains, wide-open valleys and deep turquoise water.

Day 7: Traditional Felt Carpet Demonstration & Red Bowl Village

Step into Kyrgyz tradition in Kochkor, where local women artisans will guide you in creating an Ala Kiyiz, the country’s iconic traditional felt carpet.

Today, we will travel onward into Kyrgyzstan’s hidden heartland, Kyzyl Oi.

Catch a rare glimpse into everyday life in rural Kyrgyzstan. A charming mountain village nestled along a river valley. The village is ‘Red Bowl’ named after its red cliffs that surround the village like a bowl.

Day 8: Suusamyr Valley

The part of Kyrgyzstan most tours skip, Suusamyr Valley remains untouched, offering a more authentic and quiet side of Kyrgyzstan.

Unwind in a cozy mountain lodge set in the heart of the valley, surrounded open landscapes, grazing horses, and complete tranquility.

Day 9: Bishkek via Too Ashu Mountain Pass & Souvenir Shopping

Travel through one of Kyrgyzstan’s most scenic mountain passes, Too Ashu Mountain Pass, pausing for one last panoramic view. A fitting farewell to Kyrgyzstan’s mountains before returning to Bishkek.
