Itinerary Outline
Returning to Bishkek, we will tour the city including the Historical Museum, the Opera and Ballet Theater, and the Art Museum of Gapar Aitiev.
Within the compound, we will explore the garden of Balbal Stones and an Archaeological Museum displaying artefacts from Buddhism, Christianity, Shamanism and Islam.
Will make a stop to try traditional layered bread Kattama with natural cream and milk tea, a specialty of Chon Kemin.
We will pass through Grigorievka Gorge, known for its peaks covered with coniferous forests and Kyrchyn Valley, known for being the main venue of the famous World Nomad Games.
In the afternoon, at Karakol Ski Base, take a ski lift up to the mountain where regional extreme sport lovers come together in winter for skiing.
Option to rewind in natural hot spring park nearby – bathing suit required!
Arabel Plateau can be reached via a high-altitude mountain pass where we can witness a glacier lake at the top.
Optional to take a short 1-hour trekking route to a waterfall near the Statue of Yuri Gagarin, the first man in space.
Reaching Bokonbaevo, a village where you will be treated with a spectacular art of eagle hunting show by skilled hunters.
Drop by the Orto Tokoy Reservoir, which is the first reservoir built in Kyrgyzstan. Surrounded by rugged, golden-brown mountains, wide-open valleys and deep turquoise water.
Today, we will travel onward into Kyrgyzstan’s hidden heartland, Kyzyl Oi.
Catch a rare glimpse into everyday life in rural Kyrgyzstan. A charming mountain village nestled along a river valley. The village is ‘Red Bowl’ named after its red cliffs that surround the village like a bowl.
