Itinerary Outline

Day 1: Bishkek & Ala Archa National Park
We will kickstart the tour at Ala Archa National Park, you can choose to leisurely walk along picturesque trails or challenge yourself with a short hike toward the Ak-Sai waterfall.
Day 2: Burana Tower & Konorchek Canyons
Burana Tower, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this ancient minaret, dating back to the 11th century, offers a glimpse into the rich Silk Road history of Kyrgyzstan.

Konorchek Canyons, often called the "Grand Canyon of Kyrgyzstan," are a hidden gem for nature enthusiasts. Located within the Boom Gorge, these stunning red rock formations feature intricate spires and labyrinth-like landscapes carved by centuries of erosion.
Day 3: Fairytale Canyon & Barskoon Waterfall
Fairytale Canyon, or Skazka Canyon, is a mesmerising destination known for its vivid red, orange, and yellow hues rock formations. Easy to explore, the canyon offers a short walk with breathtaking views of Issyk-Kul Lake in the distance.

Barskoon, on the other hand, is renowned for its breathtaking waterfalls and serene natural beauty. It's a perfect spot for hiking, picnics, and photography.
Day 4: Jety Oguz & Karakol
Jety Oguz, or the "Seven Bulls," is a stunning valley famous for its dramatic red sandstone cliffs, resembling seven bulls and a "Broken Heart" formation. This iconic natural wonder is steeped in local legends, adding a mystical allure.

We will travel to Karakol, for the night. It is a charming city on the eastern edge of Issyk-Kul Lake.
Day 5: Altyn Arashan
We will drive from Karakol to Altyn Arashan, located in the Tien Shan mountain range, the area is famous for its snow-capped peaks, lush meadows, and hot springs, which are believed to have therapeutic properties. Remember to bring your bathing suit along!

Hiking to the valley takes about 5 hours. Alternatives could be a 2-hour horse riding or renting a Russian van, both at additional cost.
Day 6: Altyn Arashan & Karakol
Leaving Altyn Arashan, we will head back to Karakol city. Rich in history, the rest of the day we have time to visit landmarks like the Dungan Mosque, built without nails, and the picturesque wooden Holy Trinity Cathedral.
Day 7: Chon Kemin Valley
Surrounded by majestic mountain ranges, the valley features rolling meadows, dense pine forests, and the crystal-clear Chon-Kemin River winding through it.

The area is rich in diverse flora and fauna, with colourful wildflowers dotting the pastures and eagles soaring above. Take a slow afternoon with nature walks, wildlife spotting or opt to go for horse riding.
Day 8: Kegeti & Bishkek
Kegety Waterfall, tucked within the stunning Kegety Gorge, is a natural wonder worth visiting for its beauty and tranquility. The waterfall cascades dramatically from a height of about 20 meters, surrounded by rugged cliffs.

Best thing? The waterfall can be reached by car - no hiking required!

What is the cancellation or refund policy?
Please inform us of your itinerary changes as soon as possible at hello@silkroadholiday.com.

  • For cancellations more than 30 days before the tour, a refund of the full amount will be provided, less an administrative fee of 10%.
  • For cancellations less than 30 days before the tour, if only deposit has been paid, no refund will be issued. If full amount has been paid, 50% of the total amount paid will be refunded.
  • For cancellations less than 7 days before the tour, no refund will be provided.

What are the payment methods and terms?
We accept all major credit cards, ApplePay, PayNow (for Singaporeans) and GrabPay on the website. For bank transfer or other methods, please drop a line to hello@silkroadholiday.com to discuss alternative arrangements.
Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?
Yes, though options may be limited. Local dishes like lagman and plov often include meat, but you can request plant-based or modified versions. Dairy is fairly common in traditional dishes but there are always alternatives to choose from. Bigger cities like Almaty, Bishkek, and Tashkent have vegan-friendly cafes and international cuisine.

If you inform us in advance, the local guides can plan the food options better.
Can I customise the itinerary?
Yes, we offer fully bespoke tour package starting from S$280/pax per day.

We will send an invoice payable in USD instead of the default currency SGD. Currency conversion rate will be as provided by Stripe payment platform.
